First and second driver

I just got home from work. It's late because it's Christmas season. The place where I work was really busy. We also had to stay late. I was lucky though because my manager allowed us to leave whenever we're done. Anyway, she's awesome! :D

On my way home, there was these two drivers I met tonight. Unfortunately, I had to take two buses home. I know it sucks, but hey, it's only two buses? Imagine if I had to take 3 or 4 or 5 buses?
The point is, I need to learn how to be more grateful! :D

Anyway, that's not what I'm gonna talk about tonight. It's about these two drivers who I met tonight.

Okay, here's the story.

I missed my first bus, therefore I had to catch another bus that goes to my house.
***There are two buses I could catch that goes to my house.

Sooo, I got on to the bus. I asked if  the driver could let me off in the red light. He said, "No, I can't".
Of course you can, if you want it to. Haha. I didn't say this. But this was how I felt. I know that he's not supposed to stop and let me off there. But, it was just late at night. It's around 11pm. I know that we have to follow the rule and all, but still.

Imagine, if you're the bus driver and there's this very cute girl(hehe) who just finished working, asking if she could get off in the nearest stop? So that she can catch her bus? And it's already 11pm and really cold outside, what would you do? If I were the bus driver, I would definitely let her get off. I mean, c'mon! I know that we have to follow the rule. But understanding of the situation is important as well, isn't it?

And the strangest part was that, when I got on my second bus. I tried to ask the driver so that he could let me get off in the red light. He said yes! Can you believe it? And he said, he understand. It's cold out there. ***I also added that it's late at night.

What's the lesson behind this situation?

I know it is important to follow the rule, but we need to understand the situation as well. Looking at my situation, it's cold and it's late. The driver needs to consider these things. I can understand if the driver won't let me off if it's day time. That will be the whole different scenario.
***And with the second driver, I wish him the best of luck. He's made a different in my life tonight!

Anyway, if you happen to be the driver in this situation, please try to be more understanding. Once again, it is important to follow the rule, however, sometime understanding is really the key ;)

I wonder

I wonder why we worry so much when we have God, the only One protector.
Is it because we are unsure of His supreme power?
Or is it because we are unsure of His true existence?

I wonder why we feel lonely, even when we are alone, when God is near to us.
Even nearest to our own jugular vain?
When we have Him watching us 24/7?

I wonder why we are scared to death, when we have Him as our saviour.
When we know, He will protect us from anything.

I wonder why we feel so unloved, when we have Ar-Rahman, the Most merciful of all.
Most beloved to us than our own parents.

I wonder why we're scattered when things don't go they way we want it, when we have Al-Alim, The most knowing of all.

I wonder why we're looking so much for acceptance of this world, when we have the One who will accept us no matter how we look on the outside.

I wonder why.

Loneliness isn't so bad after all

There was moment in my life where I spent so much time with myself, and getting to know myself. And there was also a point where I kept asking myself, "Who am I?! What do I like?! What and who do I want to be in the future?!"
Through that moment, I discovered that God had given us talents, things we're born with. And for me, that is writing! And when I realized that I love writing so much, I want to keep writing! It doesn't take me so much time to write, it comes naturally. Unless, when I have to write papers for my classes, this does take time! Hehe.
Another thing, I used to really hate reading. However, I realized that reading isn't so bad at all. I came to love it, not only because I want to improve my writing, but also I discover worlds that I don't even know exist! Furthermore, I also used to hate cooking. But in this moment, I came to love it as well. I guess it is true, the loneliness sometime isn't so bad after all. It makes us getting to know ourselves better. And of course not to mention, the solitude strengthens our relationship with God.

It's only too late if you don't start now

Dear you,
Do you ever wish that you've done something important?
Do you ever wish that you've inspired others to do good? To make a difference in others' life?

To be honest, I have!

I wish that I've done something that is important and have inspired others in many ways. I'm 22 years old, but I feel like I haven't done anything huge in my life. I haven't won any competitions, or even try to enter in a competition to begin with, or to work hard to win in a competition (If I do enter in one). It's like I'm this person who don't even try and believe I would not win, no matter how hard I try.
My mark in high school wasn't that great either. I was just an average student with an average mark. I feel like I've wasted my time!

I know that we should count our blessings. Thanking God for so many things He has given us, when we don't even deserve them in the first place. But I can't help feeling this way. I can't help comparing myself to others at my age who have done so many things (not to mention those who are younger than me), who have put themselves out there and overcome their fears. I wish to do the same. I wish to not run away from things. I wish to live with my fears and overcome them, one by one.

As mentioned in Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs, one of human needs is to have self-esteem which is acquired from confidence, achievement, respect of and by others. I guess this is why, most of us would want to achieve so many things in life. For one reason : to feel good about ourselves, to improve our self-esteem.

So, what will I do next?

I don't know yet. I just wish that I'd do something important and inspiring. Until I become the person I wish to be, I might post more of this kind of stuff (galau stuff, hehe). Until then, you might find this piece of writing, and see that I was once this "galau" person who's trying to keep up with the world. I'll see you until then. Insya ALLAH . . .

Kenapa anda pacaran? :D

Bertahun-tahun lamanya, bayangkan saja?

Saya hanya mencoba menyampaikan, walo hanya satu ayat! :D
