Worry? ever worry? worry is one of the biggest difficulty most people have and it is absolutely the result of negative thinking and negative self talk. It is a circular thinking pattern. It goes around, around, and around. I think of it as sort of like getting stuck in world pool. You're traveling down this path and all of sudden powerful magnet begin to suck you down and pool you down in the bliss, down to negative thinking pattern.
The problem is that it is a focus on problem instead of on solution. That's right. It is a problem focus instead of a solution focus. You need to interrupt the pattern, and the pattern itself goes around and around. For instance, let's say you had a disagreement with someone and you're worried about whether you're going to make up through the problem again. "Oh Gosh, are they gonna be upset with me", "I said this, maybe I really shouldn't have said that", . . . and it goes on and on. It's a circular thing. It's like a negative world pool. It pulls you off the game. It takes away your ability to be resilience. What you need to do is interrupt the pattern. The easiest to do it is to put down on paper.
For instance, if you have something you're worried about and put all the things you can do to overcome it. When you put it down on the paper, you begin to look at it. It makes it significantly to be easier to work with. Why? Because you get it out of your head. The problem is worry is a circular thinking. When you take it out of your mind and put it down on paper, you can see it. It begins to break up the pattern. All of a sudden, it changes your perspective. Your mind doesn't wonder off into the negative. Why? Because you're going to look at the negatives, and the positives. You can see what you can do. It gives you the opportunity to balance a little bit of both. You begin to take control of you. Our mind have the tendency to wonder down that path.
To be continued . . .
